Plain-language terms governing the use of our Open Graph image generation API and developer tooling.

Draft Agreement — Requires Legal Review Before Launch

This document is a technical terms draft reflecting actual service capabilities operated by GenerativeOG. It requires professional legal review before commercial launch.

1. Scope of Service & MVP Terms

GenerativeOG provides an automated, edge-rendered Open Graph image generation service. During the current MVP phase, the Free Tier is completely active and requires no account registration, credentials, or credit cards. Nothing is billed during the MVP stage.

2. Commercial Licensing & Permitted Use

You are granted a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute images generated by the API in commercial applications, SaaS platforms, client websites, open-source repositories, and personal blogs. Generated images contain no mandatory watermarks or attribution requirements.

3. Fair Use & Rate Limiting

To maintain service reliability for all developers, anonymous API access is subject to fair use limits:

  • Burst Threshold: Up to 60 requests per minute per client IP hash.
  • Daily Quota: Up to 1,000 image generation requests per day per client IP hash.
  • Edge Caching: Repeated requests with identical query parameters are served from Cloudflare edge caches and do not deplete your daily quota.

Automated techniques to evade or bypass rate limits (such as rotating proxy pools or IP spoofing) are strictly prohibited and violate our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Content Ownership & Responsibility

You retain full ownership of all text, brand names, product titles, logos, and avatars provided in image query parameters. You are solely responsible for ensuring you possess the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use any third-party logos or images referenced via the logo or avatar parameters.

5. Availability & "As Is" Warranty Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While GenerativeOG strives for high edge uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific response latencies on the free anonymous tier during MVP. Formal uptime service level agreements (SLAs) will be available in future commercial tiers.

6. Enforcement & Service Termination

We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently block IP hashes or reject requests that threaten infrastructure stability, violate our Acceptable Use Policy, or attempt automated SSRF attacks or security probing.
